Welcome

About Me

I earned my Master’s degree at University of Houston-Clear Lake from their Clinical Psychology program and have been working in the behavioral health field for over 15 years. I hold an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I published my first book, “What About Me? A Simple Guide to Self-Care in the 21st Century” in 2007. I have been all around the country speaking and facilitating workshops about self-care and postpartum mood disorders. On a personal level, I am 41 years old, married and have one daughter.

My preferred style is a combination of supportive, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we will form treatment goals and identify what’s important to you, and I will guide you in your efforts to understand yourself on a deeper level and make the changes you desire. The idea is to help you to live your life as fully as possible!
