Policies and Procedures

Payment:

My standard fee is $100 per hour. My licensure allows me to work with insurance companies as an "out-of-network" provider. I will be happy to give you a statement that will allow you to file for insurance reimbursement or apply to your "flex" account.  Alternatively, I offer payment plans for greater financial flexibility. It is my belief that money issues should not stand in between you and your well-being. Before deciding that you "cannot afford therapy", please give me a call at 713.417.0749 or email me. I will do my best to work with you. I accept cash, checks and VISA/Mastercard (through PayPal below).

Initial Session:

Our first session will most likely be about 90 minutes long. I'd like to hear your concerns and clarify anything that I do not understand. It is important that we feel comfortable with one another, as we will be engaging in a close, confidential relationship. If, for any reason, you decide that you do not want to work with me, please give me seven (7) days' notice. On the flip side, I will do the same for you, plus provide you with referrals to other professionals that I believe would be more helpful to you. Lateness & Missed Appointments:

The hour that you have scheduled with me is yours to do with what you please. If you are late, that amount of time will be deducted from the 60-minute session. I would greatly appreciate a phone call if you are running late, as I consider you a "no-show" after 20 minutes.

If you need to reschedule an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours before our scheduled session. I do not double schedule, so this respects my time as well as yours. If you do not give me 24 hours' notice, I will charge you full price for the missed session.
